The Impact of US Governmental Policies on the American Muslim Community after 9/11
Abstract
This paper explores the effects of September 11 United States government policy and anti-terrorism regulation on American Muslim community. This research is important to show that there are many innocent American who were affected by the September 11 government policy and regulation such as the USA Patriot Act (Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act). The paper is based on a nationwide survey conducted upon Muslim community in US to attempt to explore the experience, attitudes and demographics of American Muslims. Results show that the education level, race, and citizenship have the most significant impact on the Muslim American perceptions of government policies.
